1. SUPPORT FOR USB Type-C

Although, the fingerprint system actually rely on your actual hardware (phone) to offer a fingerprint sensor, it is evident that most future handsets will include such capabilities now that Google has seen fit to add support for it to Android.
6. ANDROID 6.0 Marshmallow Doze Feature Improves your Battery
This feature is close to Microsoft's sleep mode. It is the new battery management trick which puts your device into something close to airplane mode when you’re not using your device.
This feature is fully automated. Thus, your phone or tablet automatically senses when it’s not active and when it’s been stationary for a while, and this is when Doze swings into action.
It should be noted that there is no settings to enable or disable Doze feature.
7. BETTER TEXT SELECTION ACCURACY
This feature is not a major but it is a good one for those of you struggling with small screens. When you’re selecting text using Android Marshmallow, the OS automatically extends your selection to match whole words so that you spend less time trying to get exactly the right words or phrases you targeted on the screen.
8. BETTER MEMORY MANAGEMENT
With Android 6.0 Marshmallow, details of the state of your device’s memory are now added, where you get information about your battery stats and the likes.
9. VOICE CONTROLS AND FAVOURITE APPS ON SIGHT
The lock screen now gets a major change in Android Marshmallow
When you swipe left on android 6.0 Marshmallow, you now get access to the standard Google voice search instead of the dialer app. With this development, you can quickly look up the time in Lagos or the current relationship between Dollars and Naire rigth there on the lock screen.
10. ANDROID OS SYSTEM TUNERAlthough, this is an experimental feature and most android users may not bother much about it, but, it is a good idea to know it's there and how to access it than not.
To access the SYSTEM TUNER, pull down the Quick Settings pane (a two-finger swipe from the top), then press and hold the cog icon to activate the System UI Tuner.
11. STANDARD BACKUP UTILITY
In previous versions of Android OS, you were able to back up lots of important data, like wifi passwords and the likes. Also, apps like Gmail and Google Calendar keep everything in the cloud. Marshmallow gives developers the opportunity to add their own data to the mix, if they want to.
With this new feature, not only will all of your apps come back whenever you do a restore, but also, all of your app settings and preferences will be restored, too.
12. MOST USED APPS CAN NOW BE SHARED
Although, this is a minor development but it would eventually appear more useful on the long run. Android Marshmallow now has the ability to automatically understand the user and the apps you share with most often.
