Being the best MTK android device produced by Lenovo as of now, the phone is a little more secured as so, it requires a rooting application that constantly connects to the internet and a few more trick to root it.
Rooting Android, What Does it Mean?
All untampered android devices come with some secured/protected partitions. This protected partitions prevent some applications from gaining access to the crucial aspects/parts of the android devices' system.By rooting your android device, the locks put on these protected partitions are removed and that is what rooting means; making it possible for apps that require root access to gaining the root access on android devices.
Therefore, if your android device is rooted, you will be able to install more apps, play more games and personalize your android device more.
Why Root Android Device?
Rooting your android device makes it possible for you to perform a lot of activities you might not be able to perform ordinarily on the phone due to locks put on the protected partitions.By rooting your android device, you remove the locks and barriers that restricts full access to the android system.

How to Root Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro
The guides given here have been used to root several Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro and confirmed working. All things being equal, you should safely use this method to root any Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro.Requirements:
1- Kingroot Application. You can download from here.
2- Internet access. Either Wireless or your phone's data service must be put on.
3- SuperUser.zip -should be flashed on the phone via a custom recovery.
NOTE:Now, Begin Rooting the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro
Preferably, a fast Internet access is required for this operation.
1- Go to Settings >> Security >> Unknown Sources and mark it on.
This enables your phone to install apps not downloaded or downloadable from the Play Store.
2- Install the Kingroot Application: download and install the Kingroot application from the link above.
3- Lunch Kingroot: lunch the Kingroot application on the phone. Tap the Middle of the Kingroot application and wait until the process is complete.
NOTE:4- Confirm that the Root Access is Obtained: when the root operation is complete, the Kingroot Application will display a round green button with "White Mark" in the middle as in the image below.
Make sure that you have strong internet access either via Wireless or H/H+. Your phone may reboot before the process is complete, this is mostly caused by poor data service. Simply restart the process again at full lunch of the phone.
NOTE:Stage 2:
Before Kingroot application could root the Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro, it will attempt to install KingUser Application and flash SU Binaries on the phone.
Therefore, ensure that you have at least, 150mb FREE Space on your phone's system STORAGE/RAM to install the necessary files for the rooting operation.
Once you have successfully rooted the Lenovo VIbe Z2 pro using the Kingroot, reboot the phone. On full lunch of the phone, check your root access, if it's still there,intacts, congratulations! Otherwise, you should proceed to the stage 2 here.
The process is specifically for HTC One M9 but it works for this as well. The stage process may be required because not all the Lenovo Vibe Z2 pro I have rooted works with only the stage 1 narrated above here.
