Android Debug Bridge, ADB for short are group of tools available for Windows, Linux and OSX computers. The ADB Tools are primarily used for troubleshooting and development purposes on android devices.

This tutorial puts you through a simple procedure(s) for setting up ADB Tools on your Windows PC and perhaps, how to lunch the ADB Tools.

Setting Up ADB Tools On Windows PC

1- Download the ADB Compressed ZIP folder from here.

2- Unzip/Decompress the downloaded file using either the native Windows explorer or a third-party program like WinRAR, WinZIP amongsts others.

3- Create a new folder and name it as you wish.

ProTIPS:
- Preferrably, the folder should be created under the Local Disk C.
- The new folder should be named as ADB or any name that can be easily remembered.

4- Copy all the files in the ADB Tools and paste them directly in the newly created folder.
And by that, you have successfully setup ADB Tools on your Windows PC.

Now, How to Lunch ADB Tools Created with this Procedure(s)

1- Click on the Windows Start Menu.

2- On the "Search Program And Files" field, type CMD and click enter. -this will help you lunch command prompt.

ProTIPS:
- you should notice that an highlighted file, bearing CMD appears on top before you click the Enter Button.
- If the CMD program is not highlighted, simply mouse over it and click.

3- When the Command Prompt window opens, type cd c:/adb -this will point you to the ADB Tools folder.

And by that, you are set to initiating all the basic ADB commands known to you.

ProTIPS:
- you need to download and install the ADB drivers for every android device you wish to use on the PC.
- this tutorial assumes that you are basic user and not a developer there; the ADB Tools contained here are for all the basic ADB and Fastboot commands plus a few more.

Setting Preferred Flag On BBM Time Zone: UK, US Or Any Country

Although, this is nothing serious but you might find it interesting and useful whenever you feel like to play a little gimmicks on your friends.

The day I activated UK and my BBM starts displaying UK flag, some of my BBM contacts were just asking me maybe I can provide my UK address so that I may help them accomplish some services restricted to Nigerians. It took me some time to realized that it was because of the BBM location status they see.

Similar to cloned phone numbers that lets you call any country bearing any country's international dialing code, making it seem like you are calling from that country, you can actually set BBM to displaying another location as your current location.

For example:
If you are in Nigeria, you can set BBM to displaying UK or US as your current location.

How to Set Custom Location On BBM

The process is simple. Since BBM uses GPS and Network Time settings to determining your current location, you can simply point your phone's timing to another location so that BBM may think that you are in that location.

Configuring the Phone for the Tweak

1- Disable/Turn off the GPS settings on your phone.

2- Enable Google Location Services on the phone.

3- Disable Automatic Time Zone, then; select the Time Zone of the country you want BBM display as your current location.

4- Save the settings and go back to the BBM application and Activate show My Country And Time Zone from the BBM application settings.
That's all. BBM will immediately start displaying any country you choose/set as your current location.

Please, DO NOT use this trick/hack to scamming people o! It's ONLY fair to have fun and flex with it.

MTN BIS On PC: Latest Working Cheat

Recently, some of the ArykTECH's fans were contacting me regarding the MTN BIS that suddenly stopped working even with the Virtual VPN or Simple Server application running on the PC and since then,  I have been trying to bring back the awoof but, no way! It won't just work until about 2 days ago when I confirmed it working but with a slightly different configuration.

This method requires you to have another application installed on your PC to support virtual VPN.

How to Setup your PC to Using MTN BIS

1- Download And Install Virtual VPN:  first, download virtual VPN on your PC. Virtual VPN is still useful in this process to aid the main application responsible for the cheat in functioning well.

2- Download And Install Your Freedom: I hope you still remember Your Freedom.  The program has been doing wonders in the world of tweaking cheats for some times now.  Download and install it on your PC.

3- Get an MTN SIM that has BIS subscription on it or subscribe to MTN BIS on your SIM.

4- Slot the SIM in your modem and connect it to the PC.

5- Configure the Modem: go to profile management on the modem and either edit a profile or create a new profile with the parameters quoted below;

APN: blackberry.web
Username: Null
Password: Null
Of course, you don't have to alter the *99#

6- Lunch Virtual VPN: lunch virtual VPN on the PC, wait few minutes for it to detect and configure your PC and then; leave .it

7- Lunch Your Freedom: now, you can lunch Your Freedom (YF) on the PC and configure it as quoted below;

First Step:
1- Configure the Proxy Settings as quoted;
Proxy Address: Local Host or 127.0.0.1 (the later is preferred)
Proxy Port: 8080
Then;
Go back to server connection and select your preferred tweak.
It should be set to Nigeria MTN which is also included in the list.

8- Now, go back to your modem and connect it to the internet.
9- Once the modem is connected to the internet, go to YF (Your Freedom) and click Start Connection.
Wait few seconds until it start successfully and enjoy.

NOTE:
This configuration also works with the MTN Whatsapp, BBM, Nimbuzz and Facebook data bundles.

How to Root Gionee P4 MTK Android

Gionee P4 is an MTK android device with android version 4.4 KitKat. It is one of the best MTK android devices produced by Gionee so far (as at the time this article is published).

In this article, I explain the step by step guide of rooting Gionee P4 MTK android.

Rooting Android, What Does it Mean?

All untampered android devices come with some secured/protected partitions. This protected partitions prevent some applications from gaining access to the crucial aspects/parts of the android devices' system.

Meanwhile, rooting android device is the process of removing the locks on the protected partitions of the android device.

Why Root Android Device?

Rooting your android device makes it possible for you to perform a lot of activities you might not be able to perform ordinarily on the phone.

Activities like changing the phone's fonts, tweaking the IMEI, using some VPN apps, changing or hiding your IPs among others.

Any Side Effects Rooting Android?

Sure. There are some side effects. However, almost all the side effects can be over-ridden or avoided if you desist from going beyond your limits.

The guides given here have been used to root several Gionee P4 and confirmed working. All things being equal, you should safely use this method to root any Gionee P4.

Requirements:
1- Kingroot Application. You can download from here.
2- Internet access. Either Wireless or your phone's data service must be put on.

NOTE:
Preferrably, a fast internet access is required for this operation.

Now, Begin Rooting the Gionee P4
1- Go to Settings >> Security >> Unknown Sources and mark it on. This enables your phone to install apps not downloaded or downloadable from the Play Store.

2- Install the Kingroot Application: download and install the Kingroot application from the link above.

3- Lunch Kingroot: lunch the Kingroot application on the phone. Tap the Middle of the Kingroot application and wait until the process is complete.

NOTE:
Make sure that you have strong internet access either via Wireless or H/H+. Your phone may reboot before the process is complete, this is mostly caused by poor data service. Simply restart the process again at full lunch of the phone.

4- Confirm that the Root Access is Obtained: when the root operation is complete, the Kingroot Application will display a round green button with "White Mark" in the middle as in the image below.

NOTE:
Before Kingroot application could root the Gionee P4, it will attempt to install KingUser Application and flash SU Binaries on the phone.
Therefore, ensure that you have at least, 50mb FREE Space on your phone's system STORAGE to install the necessary files for the rooting operation.

Rooting Infinix Hot: the Complete Guide

No doubt, infinix HOT is one of the best android smart phones made by infinix recently. The phone is slickly designed, beautiful and has fabulous features however, to further enjoy the phone, you might have to root the infinix HOT especially; if you had loved to tweaking the phone, changing the IMEI and some browsing cheats as well.

4- If the application displays an image like the one below here, CONGRATULATIONS! Your infinix Zero had just been rooted! Enjoy.

Note: An active hotspot/wireless connection is preferred to root the infinix HOT using Kingroot.

Flashing Custom Recovery On Any Android Using Mobile Uncle

Mobile Uncle is one of the commonest MTK android devices applications but besides the many functionalities and wonders the app can perform on the MTK androids, it can also be used to carry out certain operations on other android devices other than the MTK androids.

Such operations include tweaking android devices signal strenght and details, reseting the EDGE, GPRS, H/H+ services, checking the complete status of the phone, flashing custom recovery among others.

In this tutorial, I discuss how to flash any recovery.img file on any android device using the Mobile Uncle application.

Please note that this process ONLY works with rooted android device.

Requirements for this Procedure
1- Mobile Uncle Application installed on the android device. Mobile Uncle can be downloaded from the Play Store.
2- The android device must be rooted. Visit this page for root solutions for android devices.
3- Recovery.img file you wish to flash on the android device.

How to Flash Any Recovery On Android Device Using Mobile Uncle Application

1- Install Mobile Uncle Application: if not already installed, download the Mobile Uncle application from the Play Store and install it on your phone.

2- Lunch Mobile Uncle: lunch the Mobile Uncle application (grant it root access, if it requests) and wait a few seconds for Mobile Uncle to setup on your phone for the first time.

3- Move Recovery.img File: if you have already downloaded the recovery.img file on your phone, move it to the root folder of your SD Card or Phone (Mass/Internal) storage.

4- Flash the Recovery.img: on Mobile Uncle, locate the Recovery Update option and Click It. The next page shows you Recovery File In SDCard and other recovery files which are usally fetched across various sites by Mobile Uncle.

Simply select the one you wish to flash on the phone, confirm it and wait for the flashing operation to complete.

NOTE:
You should ONLY select the recovery file for your exact phone which is already downloaded on the phone. You can identify it by its name.

5- Reboot Recovery: when the flashing operation is complete, Mobile Uncle asks you "Reboot Recovery?", you should click "yes" to confirm that your new recovery has been flashed.

NOTE:
Mobile Uncle might not be able to boot some phones to recovery. In cases as such, you should manually boot the phone to recovery via any method known to you.
